Spinach was maybe good for Popeye the sailer but is very good for you too. Spinach is rich in vitamins: A, B1, B3, B6, C, calcium, iron and zinc.
Actually, all green vegetables are some of the ingredients you’ll need if you want to make a very healthy smoothie. Fun fact is that some of the strongest animals on earth doesn’t eat anything else. So please remember, you should never forget the power of green vegetables. Especially not when you’re making smoothies. If you don’t have all the ingredients on the list then feel free to change with other of your favorite smoothie ingredients.

Green smoothie monster:

Serves: 1-2 portions
Prep Time: 5 min.

This green smoothie gives a delicious taste and is filled with so many good ingredients like spinach, lemon, banana, mango and mint.

Ingredients

  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 2 x bananas
  • 1 handful of mango
  • Half cucumber
  • 0,6 liter of water
  • Half cup of sesame seeds
  • 4 x dates
  • 1 drizzle of salt
  • 10-20 x mint leaves
  • 1 handful of ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon of Greens by High on Life

Instructions

Blend all the ingrediens in a high powered blender. (A Vitamix blender is very recommended for this recipe). Add a little more water if the consistency is too thick.

Start at the lowest level and add more power when the ingredients starts to combine. Blend until a smooth and creamy result. Add a tablespoon of good quality oil too if you like. (Recommended oil here: Oil by High on Life).

Serve the smoothie cold in glasses with extra ice cubes.

Mint brings a calm feeling in your body and helps against indigestion, colds and flu. The bananas adds creaminess and brings a healthy and good amount of carbohydrates and B6-vitamin.
